The Council of Gay Spirit Visions coordinates a fall conference, several annual retreats, and monthly social events for men who love men.

Fall Conference & Retreats

Spanning four days, our annual fall conference is typically held around the autumnal equinox – one of two times a year when the sun crosses the celestial equator and there is a day when the length of daylight and night are approximately equal. Religions around the world observe many seasonal days of celebration during late September – such as holy days – linked in some way to the autumnal equinox. Balance, harvesting, hunting, and remembrance of the dead are common themes recognized worldwide around this time of year.

What can you expect at the annual GSV fall conference? Inspirational themes are woven through an event that features guest speakers, heart circles, rituals, eclectic workshops, a talent show and dance, small group meetings, puppy piles, drumming and a traditional sacred fire.

Designed to be interactive and experiential, the conference can be both challenging and nurturing – but always unpredictable!

Far less structured than our fall conference, the annual spring retreat – usually held in April or May – offers more free time to relax, hike, catch up with old friends or make some new connections. With a flexible schedule, this event also provides men with an opportunity to create spontaneous workshops!

Our winter meditation – usually held in late January or early February – explores a variety of meditative practices that encourage reflection and contemplation. For many it offers gentle relief from any residual holiday stress or the mixed emotions sometimes brought on by a new year.

Potlucks

Gay Spirit Visions coordinates and sponsors monthly potlucks at the homes of men in the metropolitan Atlanta area. Scheduled the fourth Saturday of each month and beginning at 7:30 PM, these are casual evenings with no agenda beyond a shared meal and fellowship.

What to Leave Home

All of our events, including potlucks, are drug and alcohol free. Why? We all have opportunities to drink and use substances that can change our behavior. Gay Spirit Visions invites men to make a different choice at our gatherings; leave the alcohol and non-prescription drugs at home and be fully present with us.

And regretfully, we cannot accommodate pets or children at our events.
